WFSGI Headquarters are located in the Haus des Sports Talgut-Zentrum in Ittigen bei Bern. They are located all around the globe.

Panathlon International is based in Italy. The organization’s headquarters are located in the city of Rapallo. Since February 2018 Panathlon International has a representation at MSI in Lausanne. Panathlon International is recognized by IOC since 1982, it has approximatively 270 clubs on continents and 27 countries.

Who They Are:

The WFSGI is composed of Executive and Board members, 8 core Committees and additional working groups which exchange information on various issues and topics. WFSGI Members meet at least once per year in an Ordinary General Assembly called the “Annual Meeting”. The General Assembly approves the budget and strategic direction of the WFSGI as proposed by the Board, and elects the Board, Chairman of the Board and Committee members for a three-year terms.

The Board controls and supervises the management of the WFSGI and operates by complying with a specific written code of conduct as agreed upon by a simple majority of all board members.

In addition to the functions mentioned herein, the Board prepares – among others –proposals relative to By-laws, controls and supervises the use of membership fees and other revenues generated by the WFSGI in the best interest of the WFSGI’s Members. It also administers and supervises WFSGI’s programs and prepares the annual budget, including proposals for membership fee changes. It also prepares and approves the strategic direction of the WFSGI.

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is an international trade association that represents the interests of the sporting goods industry.


The statutory goals of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry generally


include:

  • Industry representation: WFSGI aims to be a unified voice for the sporting goods industry at the global level. It represents the collective interests of its member companies and works to advocate for favorable policies and regulations that support the Industry’s growth and sustainability.


  • Collaboration and networking: WFSGI promotes collaboration and networking among its member companies and other stakeholders within the sporting goods industry. It facilitates communication, knowledge sharing, and business opportunities through various platforms, events, and initiatives.


  • Trade and market access: WFSGI strives to create an open and
fair global trading environment for sporting goods. It seeks to eliminate barriers to trade, promote free and fair competition, and facilitate market access for its members
    in different regions and countries.


  • Standards and regulations: WFSGI works to establish and uphold industry standards and regulations that ensure the safety, quality, and performance of sporting goods. This includes collaborating with relevant international
    organizations and industry stakeholders to develop and implement standards and best practices.


  • Sustainability and responsible practices: WFSGI promotes sustainability and responsible business practices within the sporting goods industry. It its members to adopt environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility initiatives.


  • Industry insights and research: WFSGI collects and disseminates industry insights, market research, and trends analysis to its members. It provides valuable information and resources to
support informed decision-making and
    strategic planning within
the industry.
