Bruno Molea
Bruno has dedicated his career to promoting healthy lifestyles and social cohesion through grassroots sports on national and international levels. He is the President of CSIT (International Workers & Amateurs in Sports Confederation), recognized by the International Olympic Committee. In Italy, he leads AICS (Italian Association of Sport and Culture), a CONI grassroots sport provider, and FICTUS (Italian Federation of entities promoting culture, tourism, and sport), recognized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies.
A former member of the Italian Parliament, Bruno served as Vice President of the Commission of Culture of the Chamber of Deputies and Secretary of the Controlling Commission of the Italian National Radio and TV. He was also a member of the CONI Council and the Italian Paralympic Committee Board. His contributions have earned him the “Stella d’oro CONI” Medal of Distinction and the title of Peace Attorney of the Order of Malta. Bruno has significant expertise in sport tourism and served on the Executive Board of ISTO (International Social Tourism Organisation).
Bruno has consistently championed equal opportunities and combated discrimination in sport, sustainable tourism, and cultural activities. Under his leadership, CSIT established a Para-Sport Department and prioritized young leader involvement. Since 2013, AICS has developed centers for asylum seekers and refugees, using sport for social inclusion and promoting volunteerism. AICS also established an LGBT sector to address discrimination in sport. In Parliament, Bruno promoted and was the primary sponsor of the Ius Solis Law, enacted in 2016, facilitating sports access for minor immigrants.
